Meta and WhatsApp Business Platform Data

When a customer connects or authorizes Meta or WhatsApp Business services, we may receive or process information made available through Meta’s APIs and authorized permissions, including:

WhatsApp Business Account information

WhatsApp Business phone numbers and identifiers

Message templates and template status

WhatsApp messages and associated metadata

Message delivery and status information

Business profile information

Webhook events

Access tokens and authorization information

Other business assets explicitly authorized by the customer

We only access Meta and WhatsApp Business assets that are necessary to provide the requested service and for which the customer has granted the required authorization.

 

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information to:

Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our services.

Authenticate users and businesses.

Connect customers with supported communication platforms.

Onboard and manage authorized WhatsApp Business Accounts.

Manage authorized WhatsApp Business phone numbers and related business assets.

Create and manage WhatsApp message templates.

Enable businesses to send and receive authorized customer communications.

Process message delivery and status information.

Provide customer support.

Maintain platform security and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

Troubleshoot technical problems.

Monitor service reliability and performance.

Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Enforce our agreements, policies, and applicable terms.

We do not use Meta Platform Data for purposes unrelated to providing or securing the services authorized by our customers.

 

3. WHATSAPP BUSINESS PLATFORM AND META PLATFORM DATA

Media Cube provides technology that enables businesses to integrate and use the WhatsApp Business Platform and related Meta business services.

Each business customer is responsible for obtaining appropriate authorization and complying with applicable laws when communicating with its customers.

Media Cube accesses and processes Meta Platform Data only:

When authorized by the relevant business customer;

For functionality requested or enabled by that customer;

To operate, maintain, secure, and support the relevant service; and

In accordance with applicable Meta Platform Terms, WhatsApp Business Platform requirements, and applicable law.

Access to a customer’s WhatsApp Business assets is restricted to the assets and permissions authorized by that customer.

 

4. CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS

Businesses using our platform may communicate with their customers through supported channels, including WhatsApp.

The business using our platform remains responsible for:

Having an appropriate lawful basis for customer communications;

Obtaining consent or opt-in where required;

Respecting opt-out requests;

Complying with applicable messaging and privacy laws; and

Complying with WhatsApp and Meta policies applicable to its use.

Media Cube processes such communications to provide the requested communication services.

 

5. DATA SHARING AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

We do not sell personal information or Meta Platform Data.

We may engage carefully selected service providers and data processors when necessary to operate our infrastructure and services.

These providers may perform services such as:

Data-center and server infrastructure;

Hosting and storage;

Backup and disaster recovery;

Security;

Technical infrastructure support; and

Other services necessary to operate our platform.

These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, security, and data-protection obligations.

Our infrastructure may include service providers located outside Lebanon, including in the United States.

 

6. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING

Because our services and infrastructure may operate internationally, information may be processed or stored outside the country where a user or customer is located.

Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards for international transfers and processing of personal information.

 

7. DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against:

Unauthorized access;

Unauthorized disclosure;

Loss;

Misuse;

Alteration; and

Destruction.

Measures may include access controls, authentication mechanisms, network protections, encrypted communications where appropriate, infrastructure security, monitoring, backups, and restricted administrative access.

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore continually review and improve our security practices where appropriate.

 

8. ACCESS TOKENS AND AUTHENTICATION DATA

Access tokens, API credentials, authentication information, and similar sensitive technical information are treated as confidential security credentials.

We use such information only as necessary to provide authorized integrations and services.

Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel with a legitimate operational requirement.

Customers should never intentionally provide authentication credentials to unauthorized third parties.

 

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information and Platform Data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Provide the requested services;

Maintain customer accounts;

Fulfill contractual obligations;

Maintain security and operational records;

Resolve disputes;

Comply with applicable legal obligations; and

Protect our legitimate business and legal interests.

When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it in accordance with our applicable retention practices and legal requirements.

 

10. DATA DELETION REQUESTS

Users and customers may request deletion of personal information where applicable.

Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided below.

Where the information relates to a customer of a business using our platform, we may direct the individual to the relevant business or coordinate with that business as appropriate.

Deletion requests are subject to applicable legal, contractual, security, fraud-prevention, and legitimate record-retention requirements.

Where required by Meta Platform policies, requests relating to Meta Platform Data will be handled in accordance with applicable Meta requirements.

 

11. PUBLIC AUTHORITY AND GOVERNMENT REQUESTS

Media Cube does not voluntarily disclose personal information or Platform Data to public authorities except where permitted or required by applicable law.

When Media Cube receives a request from a government, law-enforcement agency, public authority, or other governmental body requesting personal information or Platform Data, we apply the following procedures where legally permitted:

Legal Review

We review the request to determine whether it is valid, legally binding, appropriately authorized, and within the requesting authority’s lawful jurisdiction.

Challenge or Rejection of Invalid Requests

Where legally appropriate, Media Cube may reject, challenge, seek clarification of, or otherwise contest requests that we reasonably determine to be invalid, excessive, unlawful, or outside the requesting authority’s jurisdiction.

Data Minimization

Where disclosure is legally required, we seek to disclose only the minimum information reasonably necessary to comply with the valid legal request.

Documentation

Where appropriate and legally permitted, Media Cube maintains records concerning requests received from public authorities, our responses, the information disclosed, and relevant legal or internal review associated with the request.

We may notify affected customers or users about such requests when legally permitted and appropriate.

 

12. DATA CONTROLLER AND DATA PROCESSING ROLES

Depending on the service and processing activity, Media Cube may act as a data controller or data processor.

Where Media Cube processes personal information on behalf of a business customer, that business may act as the data controller and Media Cube may act as its processor or service provider, depending on applicable law and the circumstances.

Our infrastructure providers may act as subprocessors where they process information on our behalf.

 

13. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

Request access to your information;

Request correction of inaccurate information;

Request deletion of information;

Object to or restrict certain processing;

Request information regarding processing activities; and

Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Businesses using Media Cube’s communication services are responsible for ensuring that their own collection and use of customer information complies with applicable privacy, data-protection, consumer-protection, and electronic-communications laws.

Customers must not use our services to unlawfully collect, process, disclose, or communicate personal information.

 

18. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our services, technologies, legal requirements, or data-processing practices.

When material changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date shown at the beginning of this policy and may provide additional notice where required.
